2 Chassis Enclosure

This is because the AB7000 enclosure does not provide any physical

security measures.

• This product is not suitable for use with visual display work place

devices according to

Rack Precautions

The following are important precautions concerning rack setup:

• The enclosure unit is heavy and requires at least two people to lift

it.

• Ensure that the leveling jacks on the bottom of the rack are fully

extended to the floor with the full weight of the rack resting on

them.

• In single rack installation, stabilizers should be attached to the

rack.

• In multiple rack installations the racks frames should be grounded

to the same earth ground as the electrical source for the power

supplies by means of a grounding strap.

Server Precautions

The following are important precautions concerning server setup:

• Review the electrical and general safety precautions in this front

matter.

• Determine the placement of each component in the rack

before

you install the rails.

• Install the heaviest server components on the bottom of the rack

first, and then work up.

• Use a regulating uninterrupted power supply (UPS) to protect the

server from power surges, voltage spikes and to keep your system

operating in case of a power failure.
